Miller — Joey De La Cruz

Hey there, I’m Joey De La Cruz. I’m an actor and author living and working in Venice, California.

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, I left home and headed west with a dream, a vision and a mission. A graduate of a K-12 bilingual education program and the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Italian, I am a traveler of worlds, constantly asking big picture questions as I seek meaningful answers to better understand the Universe in which I live.

Arriving to the west coast in late 2019, my move was inspired by a vision to discover the artist within, continue his spiritual and emotional evolution through the medium of acting and embrace my role in life as a character among characters.

As a young actor, I had the privilege of playing some incredibly fun roles growing up in Boulder, Colorado. Some of my favorite roles were, Danny Zuko from Grease, Waldo Puppybreath from Captain Fantastic, the Baker from Into the Woods, the Prosecuting Attorney from The True Story of the Three Little Pigs and Harry Potter in a play written and performed by the Casey Middle School drama class.

I am also the co-author of a very special book written in honor of my mother who passed away after a battle with cancer in 2011. Upon completing a year-long adventure in South America Paths to Pachamama, A Traveler’s Guide to Spirituality was published with the hope this story could help guide others towards the light in difficult times.
